Looks are all we got in common right now

You all know why I have this screen name. Sad to say, it is only looks. I do not have the leadership skills of a princess, nor would I ever really want to be one. I like my quiet little life here in the small town of Orono.

today, after three weeks of trial supervisor, my director and director of rec programs told ever so nicely that it was not going to work. Apparently from lack of communication. Personally, I am slightly relieved. I was having far more stress that I wanted. But I was also sad that it had taken this long to tell me. I could have used some pointers, some help. Instead I was on my own to learn what to know and do.

This does not change my pay or standing as a lifeguard, just some pride. I did cry some I'll admit, but I knew I had to pull together, as I had to guard. However I really wish I had been given some knowledge earlier. With some pointers early on, I can fix what is wrong. It's how I learn (a music thing) I try one way, and want feedback. I had thought that since there had been none, I was fine. Oh well, maybe later. I had really not wanted to come back, but I had no choice. I think next summer I will be trying harder to find a different job.
